 Summer Work and Travel Independent Placement for
Students
This program is designed for full-time students, enrolled in an intermediary
study year (not the first, not the last year), who wish to work during the
summer break in the USA and are able to find a job offer on their own. You
may find a job (a contract - IPA or "Independent Placement Agreement)
accessing the sites listed on the Links page.
The Agency provides the following services:
- confirming/checking the job
offer you have found
- obtaining the DS-2019 form
necessary for the J1 visa
- 18 weeks of medical
insurance with the possibility of extending it for one extra month
- pre-departure Orientation
- Intrax ID card
- Participant's Handbook
- Emergency and Assistance

- ISIC Card for Students
(offers a large number of discounts)
Program costs are as follows:
- NO INTERVIEW FEE if you
apply by December 31st 2004!
- processing fee 1.900.000 lei - payable
following the same procedure as for the interview fee, within 3 days of
acceptance in the program
- Program Fee $630 as follows:
- Application Fee: $150
- Placement Fee: $445
- SEVIS Fee: $35
- plane ticket the cost varies depending on
season and destination
- USA Embassy Fee $100

any stamps and the last 4 pages)

Photocopy of "Carte de Munca" or a Statement that you did not have a
"Carte de Munca before. Standard
Statement Form here.
17.
Proof that you have no restrictions to leave the country. This proof may be turned in at
a later time since you may need a special paper from the agency to obtain it,
this is the only exception admitted.
